It reminds me of Pans Labrynth...have you seen it?...are you changing your topic o something different from the saints? :P I am not familiar with any of the stories of them...or who they are, etc. I like the head of the figure, the kind of medium tone around the head, like a halo sort of. The markings around the head are interesting, is this a sketch or are you going to do black and white now?
